Our History

Our History - Online

In 2020 it was evident and widely reported that the global pandemic was having a devastating impact on the mindsets of young people.

“NHS Digital and The Office for National Statistics published research showing that one in six children and young people had a probable mental health problem in July 2020 – a rise from one in nine in 2017.”

Knowing what a profound impact positive mindfulness and mindset techniques have on children, Tessa, along with her children Oscar and Annie, decided to support families online - MiniMe Mindfulness® was formed.

Within a matter of weeks, they built an online community of thousands of families who were tuning in daily to watch MiniMe Mindfulness® LIVE. They then published the MiniMe Mindfulness® Journal to enable families to support daily mindfulness and mindset practices at home.

MiniMe Mindfulness® were soon recognised by national newspapers as the ‘Best live lesson (in the mental wellbeing category) during Lockdown’ and were praised by schools, teachers, parents, fostering agencies, charities, international schools and children.

Our History -

The Franchise

In 2021, when children returned to the classrooms, there was an immediate need and high demand for MiniMe Mindfulness® to support children with our positive mental health strategies via schools and nurseries and in the community.

Tessa responded quickly, establishing the Flagship Franchise in Chelmsford, establishing a programme of positive mindfulness and mindset sessions delivered in a unique, fun and innovative way.

Providing both online ‘Mentoring 4 Kids by Kids’ and in-person sessions, delivering high-quality engaging solutions.

The Franchise network launched in 2021 to expand the reach to children all over the UK. An ‘award winning’ combination of:

  • Tessa’s business background and extensive knowledge in creating a business network with a simple duplicable system.

Our Founder - Tessa Hawes

A forward thinking, heart led, passionate entrepreneur, world traveller and Mum!

Tessa had a 20+ year career in the City of London as a Corporate Financial Adviser and when she became a Mum in 2012, wanted more time flexibility than the 9-5 allowed, so started her own Network Marketing business.

In 2013, after achieving quick business success, she left the City and continued to build her business which entailed coaching others to succeed as entrepreneurs.

Realising that mindset was such a crucial part of success in all areas of life, led her to building the Boss Your Morning® App. She knew that practicing positive mindfulness and mindset techniques were not just for business but ‘skills for life’.

She witnessed first-hand the positive and life-changing ‘ripple effect’ that it has on businesses, individuals, families, communities and children.

Now a very proud Founder, CEO and Mindset Mentor of MiniMe Mindfulness® - changing the lives of heart led leaders that partner with the brand and the children, parents and teachers that engage in the courses.

Sample Full Time Week (20 hours )

Morning:

3 x School Breakfast Club

During day:

5 x Nursery, 2 x Pre School Community Class, 1 x Curriculum course in primary school (5 hours)

After School: 3 x School Club,

2 x Community Classes

Time = 20 hours per week

Term time only = 39 weeks

Additional revenue can be earned by adding more activity, hosting holiday camps and recruiting a team of Mindset Mentors to deliver sessions. Plus sharing online products to support children, parents & teachers.

CPD Accredited

Franchisee & Mindset Mentor Training Programme

MiniMe Mindfulness® Business Owners and Mindset Mentors receive the highest level of training in order to successfully build a business and deliver world class fun and innovative positive mindfulness and mindset sessions to the children that we serve.

All MiniMe Mindfulness® and Mindset Mentors Courses are Accredited by CPD.

When training is complete and assessed successfully, a MiniMe Mindfulness® Accreditation will be awarded.

Full CPD Accredited training and support is provided for you, and your future team, and our bespoke programme will be discussed during the Discovery Call with Tessa.

THE FRANCHISE PACKAGE

Franchise territories available from £10,000

This will include approximately 15,000 target age children and c.40 primary schools.

Discounts apply for territories in rural areas.

Ongoing Fees: 10% of turnover (subject to a minimum) + £50pm Central Marketing Levy

Frequently Ask Questions

What are my financial commitments?

This will all be discussed during the Discovery Call - however, there are 3 payments that you commit to as a Franchisee. The franchise fee which is a fixed amount paid to purchase the franchise territory and your right to trade as MiniMe Mindfulness® with access to the training, support and lesson resources as set our above.

Each month you pay a % of turnover to the Franchisor, subject to a minimum amount from month 4.

In addition there is a fixed £ contribution to a monthly marketing budget. This will all be set out in the Franchise Agreement.

Do I have to have previous mindfulness and meditation experience?

No. It is desired, but not essential because we teach you all you need to know in order to fulfil the role of a MiniMe Mindfulness® Mindset Mentor. Plus our meditations are all 'done for you' by our Meditation team - Oscar & Annie - through our 'Coaching 4 Kids by Kids' programme.

When will I earn my investment back and make money ?

You are buying a business, so your efforts will determine the business that you build and the income that you receive. We link arms with you to ensure that you have all the knowledge and support to create the income that you desire. If you work your business part time (teaching 10 hours per week - term time only) you could earn an income of c.£20k per annum- therefore repaying your initial investment and creating a profit in year 1. This is why a Franchise is more cost effective than a 'traditional start up business' which often operate at a loss in the initial stages as they invest in infrastructure, marketing, product development, and other startup costs.

The system and structure in place supports you to make money, and generate a profit from year 1. If you follow the system for success, this is the result that you should enjoy.
